Click-It is an application where a user can monitor the engagement of a passenger’s safety belt inside a moving vehicle. The application contains a system and one of two physical devices where a user can monitor the engagement of a safety belt remotely via their personal cell phone. If the passenger user does not have their safety belt engaged then the system would notice their monitor and would alert a third party. Though notifying this third party, the user may receive a notification (text message or push notification with a sound) to their phone until the device attached is engaged properly. A device may be connected via Bluetooth or directly to that vehicle’s OBD port.
This application provides a user a way to easily monitor and remind users when they start driving without their safety belts engaged. This would affectively prevent serious injury or death in a crash. It will also create a habit of wearing a safety belt while driving for passengers.
